Musical memorial gift

In memory of Christie Myers, Eta Xi chapter of Psi Iota Xi and Larry Myers donate a Bose SoundDock 10 system to the DeKalb High School show choirs. Mrs. Myers was an enthusiastic supporter of the show choirs and a 40-year member of Psi Iota Xi. In front, from left, are show choir officers Mason Snider and Carmen Rainelli; Mrs. Myers’ grandson, Nate Myers; Sue Randa of Psi Iota Xi; Courtney Myers, Mrs. Myers’ granddaughter; and show choir officers Madison Seifert and Aaron Aldrich. Psi Iota Xi also will award a scholarship in Mrs. Myers’ name to a show choir member who plans to study in an arts-related field. Members of the DeKalb Classic Connection show choir are gathered for the occasion. Christie Myers’ son, Mark, was a member of Classic Connection and today is a highly regarded show choir director in Illinois. Her husband, Larry, assists with a show choir competition at DeKalb High School each February. DAVE KURTZ
