Remembering Tabby

On Monday, we learned the very sad news that a Junior at DeKalb High School and a member of Classic Connection passed away quite unexpectedly from illness.  She had been a member of Sound Sensation her freshman and sophomore years.

Tabby Meade

August 12, 1995 – February 18, 2013

She won Best Performer at Bishop Dwenger last year.  Her smile always made us happy.  Our hearts go out to the family, friends, staff and choir members who are trying to deal with this.
The entire DeKalb Show Choir family mourns this loss.

Be Still, My Soul

         Be still, my soul: for God is on your side.

         Bear patiently the cross of grief or pain;

         Trust in your God, your savior and your guide;

         Who through all changes faithful will remain.

         Be still, my soul: your best, your heavenly friend

         Through thorny ways leads to a peaceful end.

         Be still, my soul: your God will undertake

         To guide the future, surely as the past.

         Your hope, your confidence let nothing shake;

         All now mysterious shall be bright at last.

         Be still, my soul: the waves and winds still know

         The voice that calmed them in this world below.

         Be still, my soul: the hour is hastening on

         When we shall dwell with God forever more,

         When disappointment, grief, and fear are gone,

         Sorrow forgot, love’s purest joys restored.

         Be still, my soul: when change and tears are past,

         All safe and blessed we shall meet at last.
