AUBURN — Eighteen students and adults traveled to Europe for a 16-day musical tour before returning to Auburn on July 4.
The group visited London, Paris, Switzerland, Lichtenstein, Austria and Germany, and performed at four of the locations as part of the Indiana’s Ambassadors of Music organization that tours Europe and performs every two years.

Students are recommended by their band or choir directors, then are required to attend meetings to determine if they will be going on the tour. Those from northeast Indiana were recruited from Garrett High School, Eastside High School, East Noble High School, Lakewood Park Christian School, DeKalb High School and Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne.
The northeast Indiana group participating in the 2016 tour consisted of 11 students, ranging in age from 15-20, and five adults, all under the leadership of Tom and Pat Laverghetta who are staff members for the Indiana Ambassadors.
Recommendations for the 2018 tour will be requested in early 2017.
